Cracking good read.... - This useful text is a must for those exploring the orthopaedic aspect of physiotherapy care. It s simple, yet effective approach of learning through example is a sound way of putting key points of treatment across to the reader. It focusses on the main areas (fractures, athroplasty, STI s, rheumatic conditions e.t.c)and supplies enough material to inform but not confuse the reader. The end of chapter patients help the reader to apply the knowledge that they have gained, and in my opinion, this helps the student to appreciate the importance of using clinical reasoning, rather than standard recipes to treat patients (which is the approach taken by some texts). Overall, a valued tool for any medical student.
